As a mother of two little boys, Val is passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle and setting an example of strength, resilience, and determination. She's been a health and fitness coach since 2014, starting with women's bootcamp classes, personal training, and online coaching.
Her journey into running began as a spontaneous challenge—signing up for the Big Sur 11-Miler with just two months to train and only a background in weightlifting. The experience ignited a love for both the mental and physical challenge of running, and a week after, she completed the OC Half Marathon. Since then, she's been hooked on the thrill of pushing her body beyond its limits and embracing the runner’s high.
